A DAMASCUS-STYLE IZNIK-REVIVAL POTTERY DISH
Turkey, mid to late 20th century

Of circular shape, resting on a large circular foot, rising to an everted rim, painted in cobalt blue, copper green, turquoise and black outlines on a white ground, the interior decorated with a Damascus-style motif featuring an Ottoman kiosk (pavilion with sloping roof) flanked by two cypress trees, the border with rosettes and diagonal bands, 30.5cm diam.

*This dish is accompanied by a Thermoluminescence Analysis Report issued by the Oxford Authentication Centre stating that the dish is less than 100 years old. Sample no. N122g50
